• Challenge corvid culls, trapping or “pest control” decisions locally. Write to your council and, where relevant, Natural England, NatureScot, Natural Resources Wales or DAERA, and ask for non-lethal prevention first.
  • Speak well about corvids. Crows, rooks, jackdaws, magpies and ravens are intelligent social birds. Research on corvids and seed dispersal shows that seed-caching birds can move acorns and other large seeds and help woodland regeneration.
  • Push back against bird shooting and trapping. Ask politicians and local authorities why killing is chosen instead of better waste management, nest-site protection, public information and other non-lethal measures.
  • Support local wildlife rehabilitators and rescues. Ask what they actually need: transport, food, cleaning help, materials, donations or safe release sites.
  • Support anti-hunting work. In the UK you can start with League Against Cruel Sports.
